How to Determine Your Commitment
Walk through these steps to help you think through what you'll commit to the Forward Campaign. The goal of this process is for you to meet with God as a good father and to ask Him the steps He's inviting you to take.
Ask God to place an amount on your heart to give.
Ask that God would give you clarity on an amount and peace moving forward.
Ask yourself what amount:
You feel God has placed on your heart
You believe God will provide for you to give
You would live to give
Assume for a few days you were given the amount that God has placed on your heart. Then ask yourself these questions:
Is my gift sacrificial?
Am I demonstrating faith in God’s promises and provisions?
Am I being obedient to what God has called me to?
If you are married, pray about your commitment in the context of your personal walk with God. Then, process your commitment amount with your spouse and make your commitment together.
Growing in Generosity
In order to meet this need, each of us will need to do our part. As you pray toward your response and participation in the Forward campaign, consider taking at least one step forward in your pattern of generosity.
If you are an occasional giver, take a step toward becoming a consistent giver. If you are a consistent giver, take a step toward becoming a percentage giver, etc. We are better together, and if we all take at least one step forward, we can trust that God will use our faithfulness as a church family to accomplish His vision for Doxa Church.
